Gardens love greywater! What’s greywater you say? It’s any water leftover from everyday, household chores like laundry, shower, kitchen and bathroom sinks. While it’s not water we’ll want to drink, our gardens most certainly do! In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to retrofit a kitchen sink to utilize greywater in the garden. Explore greywater concepts, types, applications, maintenance, tools & materials needed and guided instructions. Don’t let good water go to waste another day.

Installing a greywater system will help conserve and reuse good water everyday, without having to think about it. Listen to this! The average four person household sends well over 38,000 gallons of reusable water down the drain each year from bathrooms and laundries (greywater-systems.com). With a greywater system, you can divert this gluttonous amount of water into the garden instead of down the drain - protecting our watershed, reducing water consumption, lowering your monthly bill, and relieving some stress on our water treatment plant. Learn how to be a part of the solution in this workshop by understanding greywater!
