Water Harvesting Tour

  • Mission Hills, San Diego (map)

Did you know there are thousands of gallons of rainwater a year being shed off even the smallest roof in San Diego?  You have talented local experts here in San Diego who can help you understand the best strategies for your home!

Most people don’t think a substantial rainwater tank is warranted or that greywater is a feasible option.  This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with these very simple and productive technologies.  We’ll take you on a tour and explain the many aspects of rainwater harvesting in tanks and a Laundry-to-Landscape greywater system, including materials, costs, do’s and don’ts, rebates, and permitting. Did you know that you can get a 500 gallon rainwater tank for free after city and county rebates?  Did you know that you can fill it up many times over in a single year off of even a small roof?  Come see what it looks like and what is involved in installing it!

H2OME is proud to showcase this collaboration with Building Green Futures, Ecology Artisans, and Garrison Construction.  Together we installed 6000 gallons of rainwater, integrated into an existing irrigation systems as well as a laundry to landscape system at this Mission Hills residence.  We would love to show you how rainwater and greywater can help you and San Diego as a whole attain water
