Hands-On Laundry to Landscape Workshop

1 Day. Start to Finish.
$35 Cash at the door.

Brook Sarson, water harvesting professional, with H2OME along with Daniel Francis, local permaculture designer and consultant, will walk you through a laundry to landscape grey-water system installation.

Learn the fundamentals of grey-water, including do's & dont's, materials needed, water budgeting, appropriate plantings, and legalities. We will be installing a simple, laundry grey-water system according to state regulations which will require no permit.

The class will start with a site introduction, followed by an hour presentation on rainwater or grey-water harvesting strategies and considerations. Then we will discuss the specifics of our site, design, materials and install the system together.

After class completion, you will have enough information to either make an informed decision about what can be done at your own site by Brook, Daniel or another professional, or the confidence to install your own grey-water system and access to resources to help you complete your project.

Brook Sarson and Daniel Francis are Water Harvesting
experts and permaculture designers. They have been
designing and installing systems for years. Brook has
been educating people about simple, cost-effective
rainwater and grey-water harvesting opportunities to
help San Diego residents work towards water
independence. Daniel has been teaching, designing and
installing systems for long term food production, water
conservation and ecological balance in Riverside.

We will also tour a nearby residence where a greywater system, rainwater tank, and rain garden have already been installed so you can see what happens after months and years.

Please bring your lunch. We will have snacks and water
available. Closed toed shoes, pants, gloves, and a good
sun hat are strongly recommended.
